Ballast Hopper Cars

These cars are used for carrying ballast all over the system so the railroad can replace the old ballast with new ballast. You can see these hoppers in operation during the summer months all over the system.

Gondola's

The MOW Gondola's are used for carrying new & old railroad ties from one location to the next where they are needed to be replaced or discarded. There is a bulldozer that sits on the gondola's to pick up old ties and placed them in and to take the new ones out.

Track Equipment

The track equipment you will see here is what Norfolk Southern uses all over the system. From ballast tampers to one that replace ties. There is a bunch of track equipment and you have to be in the right area to find some if not alot.

Snow Fighting Equipment

The snow fighting equipment is used where there is heavy snowfall along the Norfolk Southern System. Norfolk Southern has many different types of snow fighting equipment on it's system.
