Cassandra is one of the premier railfan locations in Central Pennsylvania. The old bridge is visited by thousands of railfans from across the country each year. The small town atmosphere along with shaded benches and great photographic  capabilities makes for a great time to be had by all. Rolling under the old iron  bridge are approximately 60 Norfolk Southern trains a day. Amtrak also runs 2  trains over the 3 track mainline.
