Electro Motive Division ( EMD ) & General Electric ( GE )
Norfolk Southern built the BP4 # 999 in 2009. This locomotive is battery powered and is the only one on the roster as of right now. The horsepower rating on this locomotive is 1350.
This section features all EMD locomotives in the SD class, such as SD-9M, SD-40-2, SD-40-E, SD-70MAC, and SD-80MAC. These locomotives are designed for hauling heavier trains and helper service all over the Norfolk Southern System.
This section features all of the GE Locomotives on the Norfolk Southern Roster. While some have been retired and sold for scrap others are finding new life in rebuild programs.

Norfolk Southern has a fleet of F Units that is used to pull office car specials along the entire NS System. These units are based out of Altoona, Pa along with the coach fleet.
This section features all EMD locomotives in their GP class, such as GP-7, GP-9, and GP-40-2. These locomotives haul shorter and lighter trains around the system. They can also been seen transported to other parts of the system in a freight consist.
